THE DISTRICT MALL
An outdoor mall experience in a hot climate is quite a challenge. The concept maximizes shading and passive cooling through the use of an over scale geometric 3-dimensional pattern that refers back to the local “musharrabieh”. The spider-like passages and shading surfaces created by the pattern also host plants and trees to create a micro climate and enhance the souk like experience.
